Portable Power Packs

Our technical competency enables us to provide assembled packs and charging solutions to meet the demands of homeland security, military, emergency services and other users for battery and charging systems.

Our Portable Power Pack for engine and generator start, using the highest grade AGM batteries and is designed to operate in the harshest environments, reliably delivering large peak currents to start all types of vehicles.

The robust polyethylene outer case protects the internal batteries and electronics from damage in the field whilst also reducing the weight of the slave battery system to allow it to be fully transportable and man portable. Our equipment, many of which are NATO-codified - is now used world-wide and has a proven reliability in starting all types of military vehicles including helicopters, battle tanks, armoured vehicles, heavy goods vehicles and light aircraft.

This Remote Portable Power Supply system has been specifically designed for the professional user where continuous DC power is required. This power solution is ideal for the harshest of environments due to its wide operating temperature (-20°C to +50°C).

It is housed in a rugged NATO codified watertight case that is suitable for being buried and silent operation. The unit is ideal for professionals who require a reliable lightweight power source that has the ability to operate equipment safely for long periods. The pack is also fitted with a low voltage disconnect ensuring that the system is not over discharged and will preserve the battery’s capacity.

Other areas of activities include special battery packs for the UK rail network, providing efficient and rugged battery systems for railway signalling applications as level crossings, point switching and the train protection warning systems (TPWS). Our experience in designing and building rugged power systems has also taken us into such sectors as petro-chemicals, marine and unmanned vehicles.

Our technical expertise covers the range of battery technologies including Lithium, NiMH, NiCd as well as Sealed Lead Acid. Battery charging is an important element and we can provide suitable charging systems – including from renewable resources such as solar and wind.

Small battery packs can be designed and built to meet specific requirements. These can also be configured to suit particular space and shape limitations.

Our military power packs – or slave battery systems – are NATO codified and have been in service with the UK MoD, providing many years valuable service for 24V and 12V vehicles.

Our comprehensive range of commercial engine start portable power packs are used by roadside recovery organisations and other professional users, including many motorsport racing teams.

The Remote Portable Power Unit has been designed to provide remote power for equipment such as covert surveillance systems, perimeter sensors and lighting and traffic control installations.

Deep cycle batteries are designed to provide continuous power separate from a vehicle’s main battery for ancillary equipment, ideal for storing energy developed from solar systems.
